When you tap a Himalayan Singing Bowl, you bring out the rich overtones of the singing bowl. It creates a complex sound. When you sing along the rim, you isolate one clear tone.
You can sing your bowl in your hand, or on table. When played on a table you should put your bowl on a rubber ring, rubber mat or padded ring.

Each traditional Himalayan Singing Bowl comes with a soft mallet for tapping (our preferred method) and a wooden mallet for playing the rim.
